One of Germany's many culinary shortcomings is the almost complete absence of quality Mexican food. So I came to Berlin last week, and we decided to have Taco Night. I'd had the cravings for a while and Lidl had provided a few necessary ingredients. But it was when a friend passed along some Taco Bell taco seasoning that all the pieces finally came together.
We amassed our fixings, including some killer pico de gallo, and had ourselves a lovely party. We had hard and soft shell tacos (thank you, massive German department stores with Amerikanische Speise Abteilungen!). I even made sopapillas, which provided the perfect end to the feast.
But today is the day after the election, and after pmk gets back from Disney World, chances are he'll want to bring back his witty, wacky Japanese stuff and kick us back into our real, non-blogging lives. Thanks, pmk. It was fun.
I know this is messing with the Japanese metaobservational vibe of this blog, but Patrick's hard work for the last two months (and really, four(?) years) has paid dividends for the future of civilization. If you are happy anywhere in the world about what happened yesterday evening in America, leave Patrick a comment, because he had something to do with it!!!
but here's a dating aid for all of you international men out there. Thanks for the tip-off, ac.
