This weird panda girl was gracing the cover of a random magazine at our local grocery store. I love that her facial expression clearly says “I can’t believe they dressed me up as a pseudo-panda”.

What specifically makes her a panda? The white tutu? Maybe I’m just tricked by her primate form (or perhaps the high heels [wtf?]), but I’m thinking “gorilla,” rather than “panda.”

Posted by: pmk at August 21, 2006 5:36 PMA good question, no doubt. Were circus gorillas ever dressed up in tutus, for the edification/entertainment of circus-goers? I must be thinking of dancing bears.
Who would sell more magazines: proto-panda, or proto-gorilla? Clearly, more research is needed.
ps. cemetEry, n’cest pas?
