I was rifling through cd baby the other day and came across a great band (almost) in my backyard. Einstein’s Sister have been around for years and apparently had a few brief moment’s of pop stardom when various TV networks licensed some of their songs.
These guys sound very Squeeze-y, with some smarty pants Elvis Costello lyrics thrown in for good measure. Definitely recommended. Some tracks:
Of course, when I emailed the band to find out when they would be playing in the Chicago metro area, I got a note back saying, basically, “We’re all sort of doing other things now, who knows…”.
